Protest against the film 'Padmaavat' turned violent on Tuesday evening when the unidentified group of people attacked after the march by Karni Sena. Single screen theatre complex of Cinemax and three malls Himalaya, Ahmedabad One and Acropolis was under attack by the mob. These happened even after the theatres had decided not to screen the film in their respective theatres. Windows of four-wheeled vehicles were smashed and bikes were set to fire parked outside these places. In the rampage, more than 150 four-wheelers and bikers were damaged. Police were left with no option but to fire a couple of rounds in the air.It directly raised questions over Karni Sena and the organisations who had threatened that they would go to any extent to stop the release of 'Padmaavat'.
