Why PM did not receive Justin Trudeau? If not him then by whom?

Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau kicked off his journey to India when he arrived in India on Saturday for the long week visit. On Sunday, he also took a visit of Taj Mahal with its family. Apart from his engagements in Delhi, he will visit Ahmedabad, Mumbai, and Amritsar. He will also be visiting Sabarmati Ashram in Ahmedabad, Akshardham temple in Gandhinagar and participate in an event at IIM-Ahmedabad. On February 21, the Canadian prime minister will visit Golden Temple in Amritsar. The next day, he will visit New Delhi’s Jama Masjid. Everything looks perfect, right?

If you think so, you might be wrong then. Canadian PM got an opportunity to see other side of India's diplomacy when he landed at the Indira Gandhi International Airport.

Guess who received Justin Trudeau?

Trudeau, who arrived with his wife and three children, was received by Minister of State for Agriculture Gajendra Singh Shekhawat. He was not even received by any cabinet minister. Don't you think with the warmth NDA govt has received other dignitaries which are different in this case? Let's see why so.

Canadian Defence Minister Harjit Singh Sajjan took a visit to India this year in April. Punjab Cm Capt. AmrarindaSinghgh had called Canadian Defence Minister a "Khalistani sympathizer" and said he will not meet him when he visits India.

Harjit Sajjan is a Khalistani sympathiser, and so was his father,” Amarinder was quoted as saying in Off the Cuff show for NDTV 24×7. A release issued by the Chief Minister’s office quoted him saying, “In fact, there are five ministers in the Justin Trudeau government who were Khalistani sympathizers and I would not have any truck with them. These Khalistani sympathizers had prevailed upon the government to prevent my entry into Canada, where I wanted to go to meet my Punjabi brethren and not to campaign for elections.”

Ahead of it, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau administration decided not to have a meeting with Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh due to latter's remarks about some ministers of Trudeau cabinet. Although some media reports have already mentioned that Punjab chief minister Capt Amarinder Singh will be the official guide of Mr Trudeau during his visit to Golden Temple, Trudeau office has denied any such meeting. It is said that Punjab CM will receive Canadian PM and will be his official guide tour for his visit to the golden temple in Amritsar but there is no one on one meeting with him which is usually a tradition that they meet Punjab CM whenever their visit to India is planned but that was not in this case and in result to it he got taste of different side of India.

Also, PM has not even tweeted welcoming note to Justin Trudeau which has happened otherwise. Moreover, today CM of UP did not receive Justin Trudeau for his visit to Agra. Again if you remember, CM was with PM of Israel Benjamin Netanyahu when he visited Taj Mahal.

And finally in the end, let me leave you with some beautiful pictures. We wish you have a good time in India, Justin Trudeau.
