Non-bailable FIR has been filed against reporter and cameraperson for covering Dhulagarh Riots

West Bengal Govt. has filed non-bailable FIR against Reporter Pooja Mehta and Cameraperson Tanmay Mukherjee for showing truth of riots in Howrah's Dhulagarh. It is reported that lastest communal riots were broken out in Dhulagarh last week which is about 28 kilometers away from Kolkata.

As reports say, Riots broke out on Tuesday just after the day of Eid-e-Milad when Hindus objected against loudspeakers as they were observing Margashirsha Purnima which is celerated in whole country.



 




Houses and shops of hindus were looted, beated them and then put on fire. According to locals people who were involved in such acts were non-local muslims. Police tried to interfere but they were stopped by throwing petrol bombs on them. Violence lasted there in Dhulagarh till Thusrday.

Reports say that WB govt. was instructed to cut-off all the talks with central govt. on the issue. Workers from BJP Central govt. were also stopped from entering the place. Despite having CCTV footages not a single arrest has been made on the issue.

He also further raised his concern and posted as below:
"Just to inform all of you Mamta Banerjee Govt has filed an FIR against me and ZeeNews reporter Pooja Mehta and cameraperson Tanmay Mukherjee for covering Dhulagarh Riots on Zee News.The FIR has non bailable sections which is enough to gauge their intentions to arrest me and my colleagues. Pooja Mehta is just 25 and got the taste of Mamta's intolerance so early in life in the form of a non bailable FIR.This is what a young girl reporter getting to learn from a woman chief minister who claims to be the champion of democracy.It's another low point in our democracy to see a democratically elected govt using police force to curb media in an effort to suppress uncomfortable facts and reality.When you can't manage media,use the state machinery to conquer the media only to conceal the failures of your administration. It shows the intolerance of a chief minister who is using the state machinery as her personal fiefdom and acting like a feudal lord. I see the positive side of this blunder as a window for all free minds of this nation to act and show fascist forces their actual place. Or once again Selfish Politics will prevail? That's my fear. #IntolerantMamta "

FIR should filed for revealing the truth which was bring suppressed? This portraits the domination of political leaders over the media. Such incidents exposes the selectiveness of Main Stream Media on the same issues when occurred on different geological locations. I believe whole media should stand against such behavior of bullying.

"Put down weapons on border for one day to protest against release of Padmavat", asks Karni Sena president

You need to see what Rajput Karni Sena asked "Kshatriya Jawans" to do to boycott the release of Padmavat. Mahipal Singh Makrana, who is the president of Rajput Karni Sena called on "Kshatriya" jawans to put their arms on the border and not to eat mess food for one day to show their protest against the release of Padmavat. As soon as I read the news, it took no time to realise that to what extent can they go to ban a movie. They are seen openly threatening theatre houses who'd release the film anywhere in India even after the rule out of Supreme Court. Whether it is the distortion with the history or not is a different matter and debatable issue as well but to threaten the cinema houses in national televisions, provoking people and especially army jawans is the most disgusting thing they could ever do.
